Critical PHP flaw discovered by AI threatens millions of websites: governments go offline
OpenAI's artificial intelligence has uncovered serious vulnerabilities in PHP, the programming language powering Wikipedia, WordPress and millions of other websites. The flaw allows attackers to take control of servers without authentication and steal data. Wikimedia, Scottish councils, Finland's government, Edinburgh Council and the BBC have preemptively taken their services offline; cybersecurity agencies are calling for immediate updates or platform shutdowns.
