Restricted traffic zone in Dubrovnik: fines up to 6,500 PLN
Since June, Dubrovnik operates a seasonal restricted traffic zone around the historic old town (March through November). Automatic cameras read license plates. A fine for a private individual is 260 euros (approximately 1,137 PLN); for businesses, 1,320 euros (approximately 5,771 PLN), and with administrative costs the total can exceed 1,500 euros (approximately 6,558 PLN). A rental car can be fined at the private rate if the rental company identifies the driver.
