K2 tank investigation closed, yet nearly 30 machines await repair

The Warsaw Regional Prosecutor's Office has closed an investigation into invoices exceeding 34 million zloty issued by Polish consulting firms in the purchase of Korean K2 tanks. Investigators found no evidence of invoice irregularities or damages to the state treasury. Meanwhile, questions arise about the technical condition of the delivered machines — nearly 30 of 360 purchased tanks (both contracts worth over 9 billion dollars) are in repair. The tax authority wanted to appeal the closure, but the court ruled it is not a party to the proceedings.
