Electricity rates could rise by 100 zloty per MWh, utilities filed requests at 600 zloty
Energy companies PGE, Enea, Tauron and Energa have submitted tariff applications to the Energy Regulatory Office for electricity rates at around 600 zloty per MWh, compared to the current rate of 495.16 zloty per MWh. This would mean an increase of up to 100 zloty per MWh for tens of millions of households. Analysts rule out maintaining current rates — energy prices on the exchange have been rising since March and approached 600 zloty per MWh in October. The URE president must approve next year's tariffs by 17 December.
