Ryanair chief warns European ticket prices could rise 20%

Michael O'Leary, Ryanair's chief executive, warned in Brussels that high jet fuel prices could trigger the largest fare increase in European aviation history. If fuel remains twice as expensive as before the US-Iran war, tickets could rise by up to 20%. Ryanair is hedged by contracts for only 15% of next year, leaving it fully exposed to market prices in summer 2027.
