New research: Fr. Popiełuszko died by asphyxiation, not drowning

The Department of Forensic Medicine in Kraków re-examined the autopsy documentation of Fr. Jerzy Popiełuszko and concluded that the priest, murdered in 1984, died by asphyxiation rather than drowning, as previous theories had assumed. The prosecutor investigating the case disagrees with these findings.
