Thwaites glacier could raise sea levels by 3 cm by 2100

A new scientific model predicts that the Thwaites glacier — the size of Florida — will contribute to a 3 cm rise in sea levels by the end of the century. That is twice the previous forecast. Faster melting results from the dynamics of warm ocean waters pushing under the ice.
