Russian satellite approached ICEYE by 1–2 km: experts say Kremlin is testing us
Russian military satellite Kosmos 2612 approached within 1–2 km of the Polish-Finnish radar satellite ICEYE-X36 in low orbit, whose data are used by Ukraine and Polish military. Experts say this is the first undeclared close approach of two active satellites at this altitude in history. Russia may have been attempting espionage or trying to damage the spacecraft.
