Kyiv expert: Putin may use Ukraine as base to attack Europe
Oleksii Melnyk from the Razumkov Centre in Kyiv, a former Ukrainian air force officer, warns in an interview with "Rzeczpospolita" that Ukraine's fate is closely tied to the possibility of a large-scale war in Europe. According to the expert, Putin may treat Ukraine as a foothold for further aggression on the continent. Melnyk appeals for the West not to treat the Ukrainian issue in isolation from broader European security.
