EU signs protocol to speed up cryptocurrency confiscation
The European Union, along with Georgia, Montenegro, San Marino and the United Kingdom, signed an additional protocol to the Council of Europe Convention known as the "Warsaw Convention" on money laundering and terrorism financing. The protocol extends its scope to cryptocurrencies, enabling their seizure and confiscation faster than before. This is another EU step aimed at strict oversight of the cryptoasset market.
