Swedish Patriot Battalion to Protect Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport

A Swedish Patriot battalion from Luftvärnsregementet – LV 6 will take over responsibility for protecting Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport this year, a key logistics hub for Ukraine. Battalion commander Lt. Col. Michael Mattsson told Wirtualna Polska that Sweden had to change its thinking and its responsibility now extends far beyond its own borders. The move is part of a broader NATO commitment to the eastern flank.
