Toyota proposes VEEF category: combustion cars as zero-emission vehicles
Toyota has proposed introducing a new vehicle category called VEEF (Vehicles running Exclusively on Eligible Fuels) — combustion cars powered exclusively by approved fuels — that would be treated as zero-emission vehicles on par with electric cars. The Japanese manufacturer's proposal aims to broaden the definition of zero-emission beyond electric vehicles.
