Two smugglers held after tossing cigarettes from train at border
Officers from the Nadbużański Border Guard unit and Lublin Customs-Tax Service observed a freight train entering Poland. Near Wólka Dobryńska in Bielsk county, two men threw packages wrapped in black film containing cigarettes without Polish tax stamps from a wagon. Authorities seized 13,800 packages worth approximately 300,000 zloty in market value and detained two residents of Bielsk county on smuggling charges. They face substantial fines.
