Deposit system at airports: passengers lose deposits before departure

Passengers buying bottled or canned drinks covered by the deposit system at Polish airports cannot reclaim their deposit before flying abroad. The Ministry of Climate and Environment admits that current regulations provide no exceptions for travelers leaving Poland. The deposit is forfeited because collection points operate only within the country.
