Google's Willow chip increases threat to old bitcoin wallets

Google announced that its Willow quantum chip produces specialized quantum states needed for advanced computing with about 40 times fewer errors than before. This represents a significant reduction in one of the main hardware barriers to potentially breaking cryptographic keys. Bitcoin wallets from the Satoshi era, whose public keys are public, are most at risk.
