Maldives delays new tax for tour operators until 2027

The Maldives has postponed implementation of a 17 percent tax that was to cover foreign tour operators and booking platforms. The new rules will take effect only in April 2027. Tour operators and booking intermediaries thus gain additional time to adapt to the changes.
