Empty sanatorium beds: government plans penalties for cancelled treatments

Polish sanatoriums lose millions of zlotys annually when patients fail to show up for scheduled treatments and don't report cancellations. Prepared beds lie empty while hundreds of other people wait for care. The ministry is preparing rules to limit the problem, including a requirement to notify cancellations in advance.
