67-year-old woman dies after spending 46 hours in Poznan emergency room

Maria, a 67-year-old cancer patient, waited over 46 hours in the emergency room of the Provincial Hospital in Poznan for a bed on a ward. According to her son, her condition deteriorated sharply during this time. After being transferred to the internal medicine ward, she was already in critical condition and soon died. The Ombudsman for Patients' Rights is investigating the case.
