Attorney General seeks to strip immunity from Daniel Obajtek

Attorney General Waldemar Żurek has submitted a request to the European Parliament to strip immunity from and detain MEP Daniel Obajtek. The case concerns allegations of underpricing fuel in 2023, when Obajtek was CEO of PKN Orlen. If the EP approves the request, it could mean the end of the former Orlen head's political career.
