Free mammography screenings in 12 towns across Lubelszczyzna in October

October is breast cancer awareness month — the most common cancer in Polish women, killing about 6,600 annually. The National Health Fund finances free screening, but according to data from October 1, 2026, only one in three eligible women had a mammography. The examination takes just 5 minutes and can detect changes that are neither visible nor palpable.
