Password "123456" gave access to data of 8.8 million Danes
Denmark's Central Person Register suffered a breach exposing over 8.8 million records — more than Denmark's population of roughly 6 million, as the database includes deceased persons and emigrants. The hacker claims that entering the password "123456" was sufficient to gain access. The perpetrator has promised not to sell or publicly release the stolen data.
