Leroy Merlin withdraws placemats over excessive phthalate levels
Leroy Merlin is urging customers to stop using decorative table placemats immediately due to phthalic acid ester (phthalate) content exceeding safe limits. The products have been withdrawn from sale. Separately, an alert has appeared in the EU Safety Gate system regarding a metal brooch available on the Polish market that also fails to meet safety standards.
