Ukrainian with pistol attempted to cross Polish border
On October 8, officers of the Lublin Customs and Tax Service discovered a Fort-12 RM 9 mm pistol and 11 rounds hidden under the clothes of a passenger in a Toyota Land Cruiser arriving from Ukraine. The man did not declare the weapon and lacked required documents. The Border Guard office in Hrubieszów took over the case, and the local District Prosecutor's Office is investigating. The Ukrainian faces charges of possessing a firearm without permission — he faces 6 months to 8 years in prison.
