US Supreme Court may ban gender-transition treatment in prisons

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on his second term's first day prohibiting federal funding for medical procedures to alter the appearance of incarcerated people to match the opposite sex. The case may reach the US Supreme Court, which could issue a ruling that tightens conditions for transgender inmates. The order was signed alongside a record 26 other executive orders.
