Polar vortex strengthens, but harsh Polish winter uncertain

The polar vortex over the Northern Hemisphere is gradually intensifying, drawing meteorologists' attention. The phenomenon may affect winter 2026/27 in Europe, but does not yet allow forecasts of specific cold waves. Meteorologists stress there is no basis for predicting an exceptionally severe and prolonged winter in Poland.
