MI5 chief: intelligence spending exceeds Cold War levels, threats quadruple

Ken McCallum, director of British intelligence service MI5, said the agency is spending more to counter threats from foreign states than during the Cold War era. Threats have increased fourfold compared to the 20th century, with Russia remaining the top aggressor. McCallum also warned of rising far-right terrorism.
