Bronze signet depicting Pharos lighthouse found on sunken island in Alexandria

Archaeologists from Egypt and the European Institute of Underwater Archaeology discovered a bronze signet on Antirhodos, a sunken former royal island in the port of Alexandria. The signet bears an image of the lighthouse on the islet of Pharos, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Pharos guarded the entrance to Alexandria's harbor and was one of the largest structures of antiquity.
