Acquitted after 7 years in jail awaits 23 mln zł compensation
Robert Janczewski, acquitted in the so-called Skóra case after spending seven years in jail, continues to await a ruling in his compensation case for 23 mln zł. He is supported by his ailing mother, and his pension is barely over one thousand zlotys. His 84-year-old father Józef claims that the prolonged proceedings are deliberate court action: "The courts' maneuvering and pretense. It's all aimed at making us die one by one."
