Former Congo President Kabila Allies with M23 Rebels
Former Democratic Republic of Congo President Joseph Kabila announced a new political and military alliance with M23 rebels backed by Rwanda on Monday. A court had previously sentenced him to death in absentia for alleged cooperation with the group. The move comes amid debate over constitutional changes before President Félix Tshisekedi's term ends in 2028.
