Merz: Russia ignores peace talks, EU must tighten sanctions

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Russia is disregarding peace negotiations and called for further sanctions against Moscow. The European Union has already approved another package of restrictions. Berlin also declared full support for Volodymyr Zelensky and responded to Donald Trump's statements on the conflict.
