Veterinary care in Sweden is a luxury: dog MRI costs 14,000 zloty
Joanna, a Pole living in Sweden, drove 700 km to Poland to get an MRI for her dog — the same scan in Sweden would cost around 14,000 zloty. Animal treatment west of the border has become so expensive that owners are taking out loans or considering selling their homes. Joanna is watching the Polish veterinary market with concern about a similar scenario and has reported her observations to UOKiK and the National Chamber of Veterinary Medicine.
