LIBOR scandal: British courts overturn eight banker convictions for rate manipulation

British courts have overturned eight of nine convictions of bankers for manipulating LIBOR and EURIBOR rates. Some of the convicted spent years in prison. After more than a decade it emerged that serious procedural errors occurred during the trials, leading to case reviews.
