Thousands of Android phones infected with malware straight from the factory
Cybercriminals are installing malicious software on Android phones during production, before devices reach customers. When buying a new phone, a user may unknowingly be using equipment already working for criminals. Dangerously, even a complete factory reset does not eliminate the threat, as the malware is buried deep in the system.
