Australia delays ban on credit card payments at tax office

Australian Finance Minister Jim Chalmers announced Friday a one-year postponement of a ban on paying tax obligations by credit card at the ATO. The planned start date of 30 November is being pushed back following protests from small business owners. The government has allocated additional funds to the tax office for the transition period.
