Airlines sell stripped-down "basic" fares in business class: what you lose

United Airlines, Delta and JetBlue are introducing their cheapest, bare-bones tickets to business and first class, not just economy. A United customer buying the lowest-fare Polaris ticket cannot access the Polaris Lounge and cannot select a seat; Delta imposes similar restrictions on Delta One. JetBlue plans to launch comparable fares soon. Passengers should carefully check what's included before booking.
