Maduro and wife Cilia Flores charged in New York with torturing US citizens

A federal court in Manhattan unsealed an expanded indictment against Venezuela's former president Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores, charging them with conspiracy to torture US citizens. Both have been held in custody in New York since early January. Judge Alvin Hellerstein denied Flores' request for bail pending trial.
