Alaska Airlines plans new Asia route from Seattle

Alaska Airlines announced opening a new transpacific route from Seattle-Tacoma airport but did not disclose the destination city. Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Harrison confirmed only that the airline "is working on a new direction in Asia". Alaska currently operates only two Asian routes from Seattle: Tokyo-Narita and Seoul-Incheon. The expansion follows the acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines in 2024.
