Deposit system collects over 200 million packages monthly
Poland's deposit system proved far more popular than expected — in Q4 2025 around 180,000 packages were collected for the entire quarter, now numbering hundreds of millions monthly, including over 200 million units collected steadily. Agnieszka Koc of Jeronimo Martins Polska acknowledged that the biggest challenge turned out to be return volume, not the logistical or technical issues feared earlier. Retailers point to the need for creating additional return points to meet growing demand.
