AfD takes control of parliament in Saxony-Anhalt
Tobias Rausch of Alternative for Germany became head of the state parliament in Saxony-Anhalt. The magazine Der Spiegel says this is the first time since the Nazi era that a far-right party politician has led a parliament in Germany. German commentators and media describe this day as a "black day in Magdeburg."
