Prostate cancer in young English men up fourfold since 2001

International research has found a sharp increase in several cancer types among people under 50 in England, the USA and the Netherlands. The number of men under 50 with prostate cancer in England has quadrupled since 2001. Scientists point to rising obesity, poor diet and lack of physical activity as likely contributors, though the exact causes are not yet fully understood.
