Von der Leyen: Russian gas will disappear from EU by end of 2027
Ursula von der Leyen announced that the European Union will completely end imports of Russian gas by the end of 2027. The European Commission president stressed there is no question of changing course despite the energy crisis and high gas prices burdening member state budgets. Russian gas imports are to cease entirely.
