Three scammers arrested in Prudnik: defrauded 76-year-old of 20,000 zlotys

Police in Prudnik arrested three men suspected of numerous "police impersonation" scams. One posed as an officer and convinced a 76-year-old woman that her friend had been in an accident and needed money to avoid a fine. The senior gave a courier cash in several currencies and jewelry worth nearly 20,000 zlotys. The suspects face up to 8 years in prison.
