Cable lobbyists to sue FCC over TV ownership limit rollback
Lobbying organizations representing cable operators, including Comcast and Charter, informed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) they will sue to block repeal of rules limiting the number of television stations one owner can hold. Lobbyists argue that larger broadcast groups will gain leverage to demand higher retransmission fees, which will increase bills for viewers. They call the FCC decision "arbitrary and capricious".
