Government seeks ban on modified e-scooters tuned for higher speeds

The Infrastructure Ministry is developing new regulations to restrict the import and sale of electric scooters that do not meet safety standards. Deputy Minister Stanisław Bukowiec called modifying single-track vehicles to exceed 50 km/h instead of the permitted 20 km/h a "pathology threatening other road users." The new rules aim to curb imports of such devices.
