mRNA nanoparticles fight lung cancer and muscle wasting simultaneously

Scientists have developed a nanoparticle therapy that reduced lung tumors in mice while combating cachexia—the dangerous muscle wasting that accompanies cancer. The method works by delivering follistatin mRNA directly to tumors. The therapy could eventually offer treatment for both the cancer itself and its serious complications.
