Breast cancer drug loses funding: patient says "I got sick from stress"

Palbociclib, a drug used to treat advanced breast cancer, lost its subsidy in Poland on October 1st. Patient Magdalena Kurek, who has been taking it for some time, will take her last pill on Tuesday. Without funding, the drug is financially inaccessible to her. Oncologist Jakub Kosikowski comments: "We are experimenting on patients."
