Poland close to decision on permanent U.S. Army base, technical talks underway

Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk said Sunday on TVN24 that Poland and the U.S. are close to a final decision on a permanent U.S. military base in Poland. According to Tomczyk, negotiations have moved into the phase of technical issues. A permanent base would significantly strengthen NATO's eastern flank.
