Trump appoints John Coale as special envoy for hostages
U.S. President Donald Trump has appointed John Coale — a lawyer who helped free Polish journalist Andrzej Poczobut — as special envoy for hostages. According to commentators, the nomination may be linked to a new policy toward Russia that assumes gradual sanctions relief in exchange for releasing political prisoners.
