Egypt: Matsadaash journalist charged with terrorism after newsroom arrests
Egyptian authorities arrested six journalists from the independent fact-checking platform Matsadaash ("don't believe"), accusing them of operating without a license, spreading false information, and links to the banned Muslim Brotherhood. One journalist faces formal charges of membership in a terrorist organization; the whereabouts of the other five remain unknown. Press freedom organizations are calling for their immediate release.
