456 nuclear reactors on 9,000 acres in Utah to power data centers

Valar Atomics has applied to use over 9,000 acres of federal land near Price, Utah for Project Beehive. The planned 456 modular nuclear reactors, each producing 25 MW, would generate 9.6 GW total — 2.4 times Utah's current average output. The power would serve 7–8 million homes' worth of electricity, but all of it would go exclusively to data centers rather than the power grid serving residents.
